Hi! My name is Saanvi Gupte and I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois. I’m a freshman in college studying Biology and currently reside in Cary, North Carolina. In June 2020, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In struggling with my new identity, I was determined to find a community that I could relate to, so I sought out various organizations to get involved with such as AADI. Outside of AADI, I am a blogger for Girls with Guts as well as a member of the National Council of College Leaders for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. I am excited to be a part of AADI because it is a place where I can educate myself when it comes to advocacy, and I provide a voice for Asian Americans with disabilities!
